This picture was taken by a friend - this is not my own observation, but rather I am seeking a definitive identification of this Mustelid. The photograph was taken in Ontario - a long way south of Algonquin Park.

Coming from river, weaving and bobbing in the road after I came to a stop, finally decided to continue safely across the road opposite of river.

Road kill. There was suitable, wooded creek habitat where the mink was found.

While checking the lake for life I happened on a mink playing out on the ice. She came in and went into her den.

Having a lie down in the snow before disappearing.A really nice surprise.

Observed swimming along the shore, body length approximately 12-18 inches.
