I'm not sure on the ID of this female Argia. I saw (but did not photograph) several male Paiute Dancers (A. alberta) and I suspect that is what this is, but the shoulder stripe is different from others I have photographed in the past. I saw no other species of Argia at this very open alkali flats area, so I can't imagine much Argia diversity here. But I'll post this for the record.

I have photographed and collected Argia alberta in New Mexico and Colorado, but this was the first time I had seen the species in Texas and there were many of them in a wet grassy area on a private ranch.
