This photo isn't that amazing, but it shows two of three kererū. The third is in the Lilly Pilly to the left. The latter bird didn't participate in the 'chasing each other' behaviour. The kererū have been in the trees beside the barn for a couple of weeks now, off and on. They make a lot of noise, jumping around on the branches, landing heavily, falling off. One seems to be chasing off the other... or perhaps they are mating. Or perhaps these two are males and the third is a female.

Two birds arrived first and were then joined by another bird who only stayed 10 minutes. First two birds fed on Kanuka and stayed in area for over an hour.
