More of what I hope will become a collection of fritillaries. I ordered three of each of these but the bulbs arrived so dried up that I consider myself lucky to have got one of each. (I have told DeJager what I think of them.) Anyway, these two Turkish species are apparently considered closely related. The flowers of both have a similar shape and they're both very slender upright species but elwesii has much narrower flowers. This is not always apparent in other photos. Behind you can see some F.pontica.
