Summary[edit] Description: English: This crayfish that occurs in parts of Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi was under evaluation for possible listing as a threatened or endangered species. Thanks to research funded by the USFWS, it has been determined that this species does not need to be protected under the Endangered Species Act. Summary[edit] Description: English: The Panama City crayfish (Procambarus econfinae) is known only from the Panama City area of Bay County in Northwest FL. Much of their natural habitat (wet pine flatwoods) has been lost or degraded through residential, commercial, and industrial development.
