Summary[
edit] Description: English: Red Admiral (Vanessa atalanta) This Red Admiral butterfly was basking on the letter "C" of a sign outside the ruins of Dinton Castle. The sign was for the firm that had erected the scaffolding on the castle (see other photos). While this specimen stayed put for several minutes, its twin was restlessly fluttering around and alighting for only seconds at a time - I wonder why one was sedate and the other fidgety !.
