This little crocus is a rare plant of northern Israel, growing also in Lebanon, Syria and S Turkey. Here I managed to focus on the flower's stigma through its perianth. The species has typical yellow based flower and white anthers. Growing in seasonally damp places.

WE had a wonderful autumn flower tour in Mt Hermon today, saw many corocuses, autumn crocuses, sternbergias and more. This Crocus pallasii is one of the commonest local species, it has three branched style. This one was so beautiful near the rock.
