Kobonga umbrimargo How do you like this cicada I found in the back yard flapping around on the ground. It is one I have never seen. It was clinging to a stick which is showing between the end of the forewings. ~50mm longPhoto: Jean
I found the nymph crawling up my wall and brought it into an enclosure with pieces of bark for a substrate. It finally quite crawling and emerged--I'll post a sequence later. I liked the freaky effect in this photo.
