Notes: The series of plates was never bound, and is kept loose in a box in the Subject Series. There seems to have been no accompanying text. The man behind the project was John Edward Gray, the Keeper of the Natural History collection in the British Museum, and he collaborated in it with Hardwicke who bequeathed his collection to the BM on his death in 1835.
