Description: Carbomyces Gilkey Image location: Corona, Torrance Co., New Mexico, USA In leaf litter under Juniperus monosperma. This had been dug up by some rodent (note teeth marks) and left for us as a gift. There were many digs but no leftover truffles to be found. This smells strongly spermatic. The scope available is without a reticle, but just guessing I’d say they were 8-12μ, round, smooth, the center appearing as if it was composed of numerous BBs. Based on microscopic features : For more information about this, see the observation page at Mushroom Observer. English | español | français | italiano | македонски | മലയാളം | português | +/−.
