The Magpie Moth is white, orange and black. This is a rare moth, which only lives up to 3 or 4 weeks and are only seen in June or August in the U.K. They live in woodland, gardens or hedgerows. Their larvae feed on hawthorn, blackthorn and hazel. The wing span measures 45mm. The scientific name is; Abraxas Gross Ularita and they are attracted tom lots of light.
