Shell 12-15 mm long, with oval-elongate contour and moderately elevated profile, apex very close to posterior margin, definitely coiled. Sculpture of numerous radial ribs, high and ragged, crossed bu comarginal cordlets which form tubercles on tht top of the ribs. Slit broad and rectangular, extending over 1/5 of the distance to apex. Colour yellowish white.

Distribution

Eastern Atlantic, from Bay of Biscay to Morocco; rare in the Western Mediterranean and the Adriatic Sea (generally on rather deep rocky bottoms, ca. 80-200 m) Gorringe and Ampère seamounts (moderately common in 70-480 m); Josephine and Seine seamounts (rare in 165-385 m).
