Acrocirrids with prostomium without cephalic cage, anterior region retractile and lacking distinct body regions. With various (1-3) pairs of branchiae. Neuropodia have composite falcigerous chaetae and notopodia have simple spinulose or serrated, not cross-barred chaetae. (Aguirrezabalaga & Ceberio, 2006: 146).
