There is a large roost on a small offshore mangrove island, with three separate tall stands of trees on each of the tiny islands filled with Pteropus alecto. The bats transfer between the three stands periodically throughout the year and have stripped the leaves off the trees. This was the first adult Pteropus I ever caught for my research (and the background of my phone)!
