This week the frogs have migrated from the mountains to the Muhalnitsa swamp protected area to lay their eggs. It's a well known breeding site and is protected for this reason. At 01.03.2017 scientists from the Institute of Biodiversity and Ecosystem Research at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences counted about 50 frogs and 150 clutches of eggs of Rana temporaria. Source: http://botevgrad.com/news/68971/Planinskite-jabi-pristignaha/ I went to the same site to make this observation.
