Verbesina dissita—big leaved crownbeard. Included in the CNPS Inventory of Rare and Endangered Plants on list 1B.1 (rare, threatened, or endangered in CA and elsewhere). It is also listed by the State of California as Threatened and by the Federal Government as 'Threatened '. The species is known in California from just two locations near Laguna Beach in Orange County. It is also threatened in Baja California where a bit more that twenty locations are known.
