Summary[edit] Description: Field pennycress (Thlaspi arvense), Mustard family (Brassicaceae). Red Butte Garden Natural Area, Salt Lake City, Utah. This plant has asymmetrically curved fruits very much like those of Lepidium campestre. However, it is completely glabrous and has several ovaries per locule in fruits, which places it in Thlaspi genus. I wonder if it can hybridize with L. campestre which is also abundant around here.
