Aethionema carneum is a rare -endangered tiny annual in Israel. Please notice that it has 2 kind of fruits - lower large flat ones and the upper small starry ones. The tiny whitish flowers are self pollinated, this is why they all fruit.

I found this flower hidden in oak scrub. The strange flower colour is completely camouflaged. It was more or less the only flower around, all the rest of plants were still dormant or sprouting.
