Podiceps cristatus (Great Crested Grebe) is a species of birds in the family grebes. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are found in Afrotropics, australasia, the indo-malayan realm, and the palearctic. They are diurnal. Individuals are known to live for 19.2 years. They have parental care (occasionally breeds cooperatively).
