Long-legged, black-bodied, with head and wings partly black and partly white. The pair in the first photo were feeding with other birds on a heap of dirt. The birds in later photos are on a construction site near a stream. The later pair at the construction site began to call out loud when I appeared to have entered their space. They took to the air, circling the area in an attempt I think is to ward off the threat. As far as I could see, there was no sign of a nest.
