5cm length snout to vent Found underneath a rotting log in a shady scrubby oak forest with lots of leaf litter. It darted away to the next closest log but chose to sit on top of the log instead of burrowing under it or hiding - it just went around the side, presumably so we couldn't see it. Saw it anyways and grabbed it. Sat calmly on my palm for pictures and did not want to get off my hand to get back on its log. It kept getting back on my hand - maybe it was cold and liked the warmth?
