Die Röhre wurde am Ostrand der Nordseeinsel Wangerooge gefunden und dort photographiert. Im Hintergrund sieht man ein größeres Schiff. Die Röhren werden bis zu 40 cm lang und ragen 1 bis 2 cm aus dem Boden. Der Wurm lebt gerne auf sandigem Boden, bis in 1700 Meter Tiefe.
