Habitat: Commonly seen swimming in mangrove waterways. Eaten by some marine birds. Caught by children for food (Ruwa, 1989). Distribution: tropical Indo-Pacific in Kalk (1958); extends to Japan, including Australia (Kalk (1958) and Stephenson (1972)).
