Also abundant on all coral reefs, often in the same Acropora coral hosts with Jocaste japonica (Ortmann) (Bruce, 1974. Distribution: tropical Indo-Pacific in Kalk (1958); widespread throughout the Indo-West Pacific, from the Red Sea to Tahiti (Bruce, 1971).
