Maximum longevity: 30.6 years (captivity)
Observations: It has been estimated that females may live up to 30 years in the wild and males up to 20 years (Lima and Paez 1995). One wild born female was about 30.6 years old when she died in captivity (Richard Weigl 2005). Gestation time excludes delayed implantation period.
