Carcharodon carcharias (Great White Shark) is a species of modern sharks in the family white sharks. They are listed as vulnerable by IUCN and as endangered by COSEWIC. They are associated with freshwater habitat. Individuals are known to live for 50 years and can grow to 720 cm. Reproduction is iteroparous and ovoviviparous.
