Carcharhinus melanopterus (Blacktip Reef Shark) is a species of modern sharks in the family requiem sharks. They are listed as near threatened by IUCN. They are associated with freshwater habitat. Individuals can grow to 200 cm. Reproduction is iteroparous and viviparous.
