Found in starfishes and holothurians (Ref. 4104). In Micronesia, it prefers the pincushion starfish @Culcita novaeguinae@ for a host. Also known to occur in certain holothurians (@Bohadschia argus, Stichopus@ sp.) on rare occasions (Ref. 1602).
