edit] Description: English: The Ambon damselfish, Pomacentrus amboinensis, have been used as a model fish for field and laboratory studies. It is a common component of the damselfish fauna on Indo-Pacific coral reefs and is shown here with smaller P. moluccensis , a common competitor for space and resources. P. moluccensis are lemon yellow, while the three P. amboinensis photographed here have a red tinge on the dorsal surface. Date: 30 January 2016. Source: Mark I. McCormick.
