Sillago schomburgkii (Western Sand Whiting) is a species of ray-finned fishes in the family smelt-whitings. Individuals are known to live for 12 years and can grow to 42.0 cm.
Definition: A linear shoaling landform feature within a body of water. Bars tend to be long and narrow (linear) and develop where a current (or waves) promote deposition of granular material, resulting in localized shallowing (shoaling) of the water.
