Gutierrezia sarothrae (Broom Snakeweed) is a species of shrub in the family Asteraceae. They are native to Western North America, The Contiguous United States, Canada, Eastern North America, The Neotropics, and North America. They have yellow flowers and achenes. Individuals can grow to 1.5 feet.
