We planted a new Victoria water lily in the Jerusalerm Botanical Gardens. A month later we had this Squacco Heron visiting, staying for some 3 days, often ambushing tiny fish on the victoria leaf. Unfortunately the fence behind was reflected in the water.

Great and pygmy Cormorants are common winter visitor and the pond of the Jerusalem Botanical Gardens. It was nice to see this one on the snowed rock. Snow ocmes only once or twice a year to Jerusalem, so it is a rare and exctiting event for us.
