I saw this moth while birding a local park, I attempted to figure it out, but there are lots of moths that kind of look like this to me.

This moth would land on the sheet with its wings partially open, allowing a few shots of the hind wings, then close them again. Very considerate I thought, but I am not sure what it is. Perhaps in the Erebridae family, and maybe something in the genus Phoberia or Panopoda but I may be way off base.
