Summary[
edit] Description: English: Melo Melo - volute. The specimen was sold on a food market in Rayong, Thailand. After boiling the snail had a strange taste and was tough as leather (uneatable!). The snail shell shown on the photo has a hight of 25 and a maximum width of 16 cm. Deutsch: Melo Melo - Walzenschnecke. Das gezeigte Exemplar wurde auf einem Lebensmittelmarkt in Rayong, Thailand verkauft. Gekocht hatte die Schnecke einen merkwürdigen Geschmack und war zäh wie Leder (ungenießbar!).
