‘The Pistacio Nut’ is cultivated in Baluchistan for its edible fruit. Yaltirik (l.c.) mentions that in nature it hybridises with Pistacia khinjuk and Pistacia atlantica.

Tree 6-10 m tall. Leaves odd pinnate. Leaflets 3-10 in number, 55-90 (-100) x 30-65 mm, ovate to suborbiculate, veins prominent. Rachis barely winged, pubescent. Drupe ovoid-oblong, 12-30 x 10-12 mm, apiculate.
