Diagnosis

provided by World Register of Marine Species
Shell up to 1.6 mm high, with a protoconch of 1.25 whorls and teleoconch of 2.5 to 3.0 whorl; surface of protoconch covered by minute granules arranged in blurry spiral bands, not appreciable under the optical microscope. Teleoconch sculpture with axial ribs (20-25 on the penultimate whorl), minute spiral threads and very faint spiral cords more developed on the abapical area. Outer lip of aperture with a thin edge not thickened externally even on large, apparently full-grown specimens, smooth inside. Shell colour white. This species differs from A. adinogramma Bouchet & Warén, 1993 in having the ribs bulging adapically along the suture, with a distinct subsutural furrow instead of an inconspicuous subsutural depression; from A. seinensis Gofas, 2007 in having fewer ribs and a higher spire, and from both species in consistently lacking the thickening on the external part of the outer lip even in adults.
