Pacific Partridge Tun

Tonna perdix (Linnaeus 1758)

As T. canaliculata, but shell less inflated, columella much reduced, up to 15 cm. Colour pale to dark brown, mottled with patches of white. Habitat: buried in offshore sands. Distribution: Indo-Pacific. (Richmond, 1997).
