A moribund male individual found on our back lawn. Note the earwig like forceps. Phalidura is a junior synonym of Amycterus in my references.

The male has a large clasper organ at the back so I can confirm this is a female. Many specimens have elytra textured with bumps rather than ribs as this one does. Maybe they are different species?
