Description: Native, cool season, perennial, stout, silvery-white herb with several flowering peduncles to 120 cm tall. Leaves are cauline and basal, linear, usually 10–30 cm long and 4–12 mm wide. Flowerheads are compound globose heads 8–35 mm diam; partial heads number 70–200, each with 3–6 florets. Corollas are yellow. Flowering is from early spring to summer.
