Dwarfish, densely pubescent annual up to 6 cm with a single stem or with short lateral branches. Leaves linear, up to 1.5(2.0) mm wide. Inflorescence very short, with several flowers. Bracts slightly shorter than fruits (fruit margins visible). Fruit ovoid, 2.5–2.7 × 2.0 mm, glabrous, apex rounded and only slightly emarginated (Fig. 33B); no visible detachments of the pericarp from the seed coat are present. Wing conspicuous (0.3–0.4 mm), entire, triangular in cross-section. Pericarp in medium fruit part without sclereids or with one layer located parallel to the fruit axis.
