At porchlight. I'm fairly certain of this ID as Z. lunata but would be interested in other opinions. That species is so variable.

Lunate Zale - Hodges#8689 On this unusually warm winter evening (68ËF) a beautiful Lunate Zale showed up by my porch lights. Forewing length 23 mm.

I'm not sure if this dark form is a spring generation, but it is certainly one of the more striking morphs of this big species.

Probably the largest Lunate Zale that ever flew into my porchlight. FW was measured at 26mm, so WS on the order of 5.8 cm.
