Summary[edit] Description: Just a photo to illustrate the growth habit of this species. S. esculentus grows exclusively on spruce cones. These specimens are rather robust and large; after a massive fruiting in spring, the species fruits throughout the year, but is often overlooked (due to its exemplary LBM'ness). Date: 3 May 2013, 13:06. Source: Strobilurus esculentus. Author: Tatiana Bulyonkova from Novosibirsk, Russia.
