My new consignment from Pépinière Filippi in the south of France. It worked out at £56 for four plants, a large part of which is the p&p. Neither species is otherwise available in the UK as far as I know. Pépinière Filippi have an amazing extensive list of drought-loving plants - well worth a look if you live in south-east England and especially on the chalk or near the sea.
Description: I've been after this American sp for quite a long time - the flower heads are spherical, like the South Americans, but the flowers are red and the habit is low and sub-shrubby. It comes from the deserts of the south western US and I'm assuming it will be fairly cold hardy but need a dry winter. Date: 22 October 2014, 12:28. Source: Buddleja marrubifolia. Summary[edit] Description: Better flower colour now - don't know if that's because the plant is older and bigger, or because I put it in the tunnel. Date: 13 September 2015, 19:08. Source: Buddleja marrubifolia. Author: peganum from Small Dole, England.
