"Body elongated; prostomium T-shaped; eyes present. One asetigerous segment present. Branchiae present. Dorsal cirri absent, ventral cirri present in posterior setigers. Acicular spines present in up to four anterior setigers; other setae include capillaries and furcate setae." (Fauchald, 1977: 44).
