Parnassia palustris (Bog Star) is a species of perennial herb in the family Celastraceae. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to Canada, North America, Asia, The Contiguous United States, and Alaska. They have white flowers and loculicidal capsule fruit. Individuals can grow to 2.2 feet.
