Ecology: benthic, continental slope, deposit feeder. General distribution: temperate, Atlantic Ocean, Indo-west Pacific Ocean, depth range 594-810 m. (Rowe & Gates, 1995). Also distributed in Australia (Rowe & Gates, 1995).
