Adiantum capillus-veneris (Maidenhair Fern) is a species of perennial herb in the family Pteridaceae. They are listed as endangered by COSEWIC. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to Puerto Rico, Eastern North America, Hawaii, Canada, and The Contiguous United States. They have white flowers. Individuals can grow to 1.7 feet. They have alternation of generations.
