This one individual (male) is the only occurrence of this species I've documented at Balcones Canyonlands NWR. Truly a beautiful little moth.

At first glance I thought this was going to be another Ailanthus Webworm Moth, of which I get 6 to 10 each night. But this is differently marked. So far I can't find anything quite like it, but knowing my poor history looking up moths, it is bound to be something common and widespread.

Headed down to Mo Ranch in Hunt, Texas for a Texas Parks and Wildlife meeting for a few days. It included lots of meetings, but of course, we went outside some too. :) Had a BLAST doing some moth-ing with @benhutchins @cullen @jsinghurst and @annastrong ! Most of these are brand new to me, so I'll have to devote some time to finding out the ID's... Stay tuned. :)
