Diagnosis
provided by World Register of Marine Species
Shell 1.6 to 2.4 mm high, with protoconch of 1.25 convex whorls, and teleoconch of ca. 3 whorls. Protoconch faintly keeled adapically with four to five definite spiral threads. Teleoconch with flexuous, narrow and elevated axial folds, more or less developed on different individuals, fading out on abapical surface of body whorl, and flat spiral cords, narrower than the interspaces, without any of them markedly larger than the adjacent one. Outer lip definitely opisthocline, thickened externally by a broad rim sloping gently towards the adjacent surface of body whorl; smooth inside. Shell white. This species differs from Manzonia lusitanica Gofas, 2007 and others in that it does not form the "Manzonia-keel", i.e. one or two cords distinctly larger and separated by a depression, running on the abapical surface; instead there is a progressive increase in the size of cords towards the abapical end.
