This one has me stumped. I assumed Long Legged Fly, of course, but there is no metallic coloring, and the size was larger than say Condylostylus. Also, this one seems to have a white collar that I do not see on other LLF.

An odd tachinid fly found resting on vegetation near some peony flowers. Identified by an expert on BugGuide as Cholomyia inaequipes. The long middle legs are apparently distinctivebugguide.net/node/view/53615
